Why God Does Not Tolerate Sin

SIN. A big word that has been misunderstood and used by some to guilt, shame, judge, persecute, demonise, bully and oppress people over the centuries.

Ignorant people have turned God into some big punishing entity that’ll destroy you if you commit the slightest form of sin. These ignorant people love to label God’s children as horrible sinners that will never amount to much and constantly obsess over sin and sinners rather than focusing on Christ and allowing Christ, the Highest Love of God, to heal and remove sin and sinful natures which He does, restoring them back into God’s love and purity.

I’ve since learnt these teachings of God being an abusive entity who hates and destroys sinners is a false and demonic teaching that perpetuates states of guilt, shame, anger, resentment, fear, anxiety and suffering for God’s people.

God is love but to know God, to rest in God, to receive God you’re going to be shown all the areas in your life where sin is operating that’s preventing the love and peace of God from flowing and growing, so you can clean it up with God’s help and come into full union with the love, joy and peace of the Most High.

So what is Sin?

Sin in original Hebrew means to miss the mark.

What does missing the mark point to?

It means to live in ignorance, in separation from the love of God and to live in ways that cause much hurt, harm, misery, pain and suffering towards self and others.

When we lie, cheat, steal, gossip, murder, rape, abuse, hate, judge, condemn, hold resentments, unforgiveness, jealousies, animosity, violence, anger, lust, greed, selfishness, sexual immorality, alcohol and drug addictions, etc. these states of being corrupt us and cause not only suffering and misery in ourselves but others too.

Sin is a poisonous thread that destroys the beauty in God’s creation.

God wants all of His children to live healthy, peaceful, prosperous and loving lives but when we knowingly or unknowingly perpetuate sin in our lives we can cause suffering, misery and struggle, and cause darkness and sickness for ourselves and others.

And this is why God cannot tolerate sin because it corrupts and hurts the hearts and minds of men and women, God’s beautiful children.

But rather than judging, shaming, condemning people because of the sins they commit, God seeks to heal, to forgive, to love you and to break you free of any sin that is preventing you from living in the love, joy and peace of the Most High.

I’ve seen Christ heal drug addicts and alcoholics. I’ve seen Christ heal violent men and murderers. I’ve seen Christ turn porn addicts who were destroying their marriages into healthy wholesome men and women with healthy marriages. I’ve seen Christ heal the broken hearted, the rejected and dejected. I’ve seen Christ heal unforgiving, resentful, angry and bitter women. I’ve seen Christ heal and transform the lowest of the low.

There is no one that God does not seek to heal and liberate from sin.

God heals sin by revealing, breaking off and dissolving the patterns that perpetuate sin that often have their roots in unresolved trauma and wounds or toxic belief systems.

When sin is removed, the spaces where it once operated causing mayhem and misery, are instead filled with the love, light, truth and joy of the Most High.

When you choose to come home to God, to seek God and to live in alignment and integrity with His laws of love, you’ll find any sin no matter how small or big it may be, will be brought into the light to be healed and removed, so God can liberate and free you, and in the process transform your heart and mind into His love.

God, please break off and remove any sin currently operating in my life that’s preventing me from living in the love, joy, truth and peace of the Most High. In Jesus Name, Amen.

I’m personally not a fan of obsessing over sin and sinful natures or going around bible bashing people and calling them all sinners as that does not help anyone.

When God reveals a sin I’ve been watering in my life I hand it over to Him, ask for forgiveness , ask for it to be healed and removed, He removes it and then peace, harmony, love and wellbeing follows.

When you’re shown a pattern of sin operating in your life you’re being given an opportunity to have it healed and removed, to be set free from it, NOT making it your identity or who you are in God or God shaming or judging you.

Because who you are in God is love and loved. Sin is like a bit of dirt sitting on the light and love of God within us that can be cleaned up.

People forget when you choose God, when you choose Jesus, you are choosing the Highest love of God to heal, restore and redeem you and sin is revealed, broken off and removed and you become a new creation.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17)

But unfortunately too many people forget this, don’t allow God to heal them from sin and instead walk around obsessing about sin, sinners and sinful natures and not accepting that in God we become healed, renewed, restored and purified from all sin.

As God said to me once -

People may have judged you for your sins My child, but I have only ever loved you.
