God desires intimacy with you

My child I do not desire rites, rules, rituals and religious ceremonies for you to abide in Me. What I desire is intimacy between you and Me. Honesty, authenticity and a humble heart who unburdens herself to Me so that I may love, heal and restore you. I do not require sacrifices or ceremonies, what I require is an honest and humble heart who is not afraid to simply be with Me and to allow Me to hold, heal and comfort you. Humble hearts dwell in the Lord. Unburden your worries and cares to Me so I may restore you in the love and peace I have for you. -God- 

God is a personal and intimate relationship and experience with the love of the Most High. Your relationship with God  starts within your own heart. I’ve personally found the more I spend time being with and talking to God the more He reveals His heart, love, peace, truth and joy to me. It’s a beautiful experience and relationship based on friendship, love, trust  and mutual respect. 

So when I heard Him say to read Hosea 9:4 the other day it was a message to remind me, you, all of us that God does not require religious rites, rules, rituals, ceremonies and sacrifices in order to abide in His love, peace and presence. 

They will not pour out wine offerings to the Lord, nor will their sacrifices please him. Such sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners;  all who eat them will be unclean.This food will be for themselves;  it will not come into the temple of the Lord. (Hosea 9:4)

What God desires above all is intimacy with you, friendship with you, closeness with you, His beloved child and a humble and honest heart. To dwell in the temple of the Lord requires a loving and honest heart above all. 

I’ve had some very real, raw, honest and sometimes blunt conversations with God where I’ve laid out all my religious wounding to Him, my church hurt, my rage at men, my rage at God being called a Father and asking where is the Mother aspect of God  (which God showed me His also a Mother but in pure form and spirit is neither male or female but infinite LOVE who created the feminine and masculine polarities of our world in love and for love). I’ve even sometimes been quite rude and unkind towards the Creator and each and every time rather than judging, condemning, shaming or getting angry with me I’ve been met with healing, love, compassion, peace, kindness, forgiveness, insight, answers, the occasional kick up the butt and clarity. 

What I’ve learned about our Creator is above all He desires an honest, real, authentic and humble heart because in that space He can begin to heal, love and restore you.

God doesn’t require you to pretend to be nice to Him in order to get favour, or to do nice rituals and ceremonies in order to receive something, God just wants your heart - honest, real, raw and authentic heart, to unburden yourself to Him so He may heal the wounds and restore you in the love and peace He has for you. 

For the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. (1 Samuel 16:7) 

God is more than happy to answer your questions, to take all your confusion, anger, fears, worries, anxieties and even hatred and transform it into love, peace and grace. 

So much wounding, trauma, abuse and misunderstandings have happened in the name of God, in the name of Jesus that we may feel afraid to share our heart with God, to be honest and real with our Creator lest He punish us to some eternal hell hole, but over everything God WHO IS LOVE and showed His true nature through the manifestation of His human form in Jesus desires intimacy with you and a loving relationship with you. Our Creator is not a God who is going to judge, shame or condemn you for having some dark beliefs, stories and wounds going on, even about God. For God only seeks to love you. Allow yourself to receive His love, for remember - 

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)

So spend some time with God and ask Him to show you where you’ve hardened your heart against His love and ask Him to heal your heart so you may receive the love, peace and blessings He has for you.

P.S After writing this blog post I heard God say create a new immersion called Intimacy with God - open your heart to a love like no other.

An immersion where God will break down the wounds, barriers, fears, anger, hatred and animosity you’ve held against God and the lies you’ve been fed about God so you can be restored in an intimately loving, peaceful, joyful, creative and fun relationship with the Most High where you’ll hear His voice over the noise of the outside world and even your own mind.

A relationship based on love, friendship, joy, peace and harmony where the channels between you and your Creator are opened so you may come to know the love, peace, freedom, purpose and provision He has for you.
